We proudly congratulate our patient, Austin Kjorven, on breaking the world record for the fastest 10k while pushing a double stroller. Kjorven shattered the previous world record of 45 mins by crossing the finish line in 36:06 mins at the Keeping The Distance 10k in Milton, Ontario.

Matt graduated from the University of Waterloo making the deans honours list with a Bachelor of Science Honours Kinesiology Degree in 2009 and eared his certified strength and conditioning specialist certification from the NSCA. Matt is a firm believer in patient education for program adherence and has experience with acute rehabilitation as well as clinical conditioning. His interests include snowboarding, golf, hockey and CrossFit.
Steve graduated from Queen’s University in 1994 with a Bachelors Degree with Honours in Life Science. Graduated from National College of Chiropractic in 2000 (Cum Laude) in Chicago. He worked in a very busy multi-disciplinary clinic in Lombard Illinois for four years until returning to Canada to practice. Dr. Gate is a firm believer in utilizing chiropractic and physiotherapy together for quicker and more lasting resolution of musculoskeletal injuries. Education of patients is the key for allowing people to take control of their overall health by understanding the importance of maintenance and preventative care.
Laura graduated from York University in 2009 with an Honours BSc degree in Kinesiology and Health Science with a certificate in coaching. While attending York University, Laura played for the York Lion’s Women’s Basketball team receiving a variety of accolades including 2004/2005 OUA and CIS Rookie of the year, is the current all time leading scorer for York and was a member of the OUA Championship squad in 2006/2007. After she graduated, Laura joined the coaching staff at York University from 2010- 2014 and now volunteers her time coaching with the Oakville Venom Basketball Club, helping to develop our Nations future basketball talent. Laura now lives in Burlington with her husband of 5 years and is the owner of her own business. She is excited to be back as part of the Physiomed team once again!
